"That's My Boy"

I got a phone call the other day from my sister.  She preceded to direct me to a myspace account.  When I pulled it up, she said "that's my boy"!  I knew immediatly who she was talking about.  I was looking at the face of a boy I hadn't seen for 25 years.  A face that, I have never forgotten and was always on my mind and heart.  You see this boy was her son, my nephew, my parent's 1st grandson.  I stroked his picture as I cried and couldn't speak.  I really never thought this day would come.  He found her, he wanted to meet her and wanted her in his life.  December 15th, 1982 was the day he entered our lives and just a few days later he was gone.  It was the hardest thing my parents and Jo have ever had to decide.  We always wondered about him, worried about him and prayed for him.  He has a loving mother, a mother who kept Jo's letter and let him know about her.  A mother who helped him find her.  A mother who gave Jo back a missing piece of her heart.  Thank you God for bringing him back into our lives, thank you for giving him a loving family to raise him and love him.

Mama, Is that the way to Heaven?

Funny how the boys will say something about when they were littler!  We were on our way to see a glass blower and the sun was shining though the clouds.  You could see the rays shine all the way to the ground.  I mentioned how pretty it was.  Austin said it looks like Heaven.  He then preceded to tell me that when he was little, he thought that the rays were the path to Heaven.  He said he would run towards them in hopes of reaching Heaven.  I loved this story, so we pulled over to take a picture of the "way to Heaven".

"Mommy, how did I get in your tummy?"

Tonight I was talking to Adam about when he was born.  I told him that when the doctor took him out of my tummy he was crying really hard and the doctor put him up to my face and I said "hi, baby" and he instantly stopped crying.  He became very calm and looked right at me.  It was the sweetest thing.  He actually recognized my voice.  After telling Adam this story, he asked "how did I get in your tummy?"   Well, this isn't a conversation I was ready to have with him (we will save that for Life Skills in 5th grade) so I told him that God put him there.  Which is true, since all children are Gifts from God.  He still didn't quite get it and he looked me right in the eye and said "momma, did you eat me?"  He was so serious.  I just laughed and said, no honey, God put you there to grow in my tummy.  Thankfully he became interested in watching Ben10.

Wrestling

This is what my house looks like all the time, boys running, wrestling and rough housing.  They love to spend with their cousins Aidan & Jackson.  Never a dull moment.

Adam -the goldfish

well - our goldfish died today.  A goldfish that was given to us 5 days ago because the owner couldn't take him to his new town.  The same goldfish that Adam didn't pay attention to until he died and we had to flush him down the toilet.  Now he is sad and has named him "Adam" the goldfish.
